The last two weeks have been culturally exciting! The annual Jersey City Studio Tour which is 2 days of open doors by the Jersey City Art scene. I didn’t get to see as many exhibitions as I would have liked, but I’m happy to feature this short slide show of “Photojournalism” curated by my friend, John Crittenden.
Then yesterday some friends and I hopped in the car to visit two galleries in Newark. 260 Washington Street featured, “Exquisite Corpse” which is always a favorite of mine. The previous two years the exhibit was part of the Jersey City Studio Tour. The co-curators, Tina Maneca and Celeste Sales, mixed and matched heads, torsos, and legs… and the outcome was outstanding, have a look.
Afterward we crossed the street to Gallery Aferro and enjoyed the variety of artwork, along with audio and video presentations.
